Mumbai, December 2008: Ahead of the start of an exciting phase for Indian telecom players, OnMobile Global is gearing up for the activity with some high-level appointments such as Sanjay Uppal who has joined the global value-added services solution provider as President and Chief Operating Officer.

Sanjay, with an experience spanning almost two decades in the technology industry, is tasked with managing the business operations of the company, spearheading the strategic new sales, product developments and Mergers & Acquisitions, and charting out the growth map for the company.

Sanjay joins OnMobile from Citrix Systems Inc., where he was Vice- President of Application Networking. Prior to that, he was President and CEO of Caymas Technologies and has also been associated with Hewlett - Packard in the United States.

Speaking about his appointment, Sanjay said, “OnMobile is considered a pioneer in the Indian VAS segment who has opened up a plethora of opportunities for the telecom sector in the country. It gives me immense pride to be given the responsibility to lead the company at a time when fresh avenues are opening up for the VAS sector globally.”

After graduating from the Indian Institute of Technology- Mumbai with a specialisation in Electrical Engineering, Sanjay completed his Masters in Science in Electrical Engineering & Computer Engineering from University of Wisconsin, Madison in addition to a Masters in Science degree in Management of Technology from Stanford University, California.
